UNITY-BARS, Oschadbank and Deloitte have started implementing of one of the most important and strategically important banking projects – “UnitedData” based on the BARS MMFO product.

The UDa project stipulates for cardinal renovation of the key software (Core Banking System), the centralization of its technical arhitecture and creates preconditions for customers service for any office of Oschadbank.

So, what is BARS MMFO product? It is a consolidation of information from all regional offices of the bank in one centralized system. This is the system’s ability to provide deep analytics, to identify customer needs, ‘to provide relevant propositions, the system also allows us to serve customers across all existing products (loans, deposits, cards, etc.) in any branch of the bank, regardless of where accounts were established and where customer addressed.

In developing BARS MMFO, the UNITY-BARS team uses modern architectural solutions and technologies to handle very large volumes of data in an on-line mode.  Pilot system database reaches 6 Tb. Once the project is completed,it will constitute more than 25 Tb.

Highly complex intellectual work is carried out to optimize migration processes and provide for optimum trading day of the bank.

In the course of the project, the following programming languages and technologies are used: ASP.NET MVC, Angular, Kendo, etc.; he system kernel – Oracle Database Industrial Database.

During the work on the UDaproject,  UNITY-BARS established a contemporary approach to the software quality – Continuous Integration . This is extremely important because today when the project in attracting a great team, the CI setting makes a positive effect on the final quality of the product being developed and implemented. To support CI we are working with control system of SVN, TeamCity versions, for testing JMeter, Selenium, with mandatory Code Review via FishEye (for Jira).

The project constantly involves over 90 engineers: Front / Back-end web developers, DataBase developers, DBA, QA experts, business analysts and project managers. Presently we have completed functional testing of all the system modules and successfully passed the first two stages of the data migration from the current system to a new one.

On May 26 there will be held the next stage of the UDa project – data migration and pilot operation of the system in Kiev and Kiev region.
